Nacogdoches Police Report - 05/16/07

DWLI-FAILURE TO ID: 1000 block of East Main. Subject stopped after being involved in a disturbance. Suspect gave officers a false name. After investigation, the suspect's real name was obtained and it was found that his license was suspended. Markeith Mergerson was arrested.

ROBBERY: 1420 North University Drive (Heb Parking Lot). The victim was walking towards the store. A white male suspect in a silver Honda drove up and pulled her purse off her arm while still  in the vehicle. The suspect accelerated and left the parking lot. Case is under investigation.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA-RESISTING ARREST: 1500 block of Woden Road. Suspect was found lying in the roadway. Officers contacted him and he resisted arrest. The suspect was obviously under the influence of drugs and was taken to memorial hospital where he was admitted. Officers located a baggie of suspected marijuana on his person. Warrant will be issued upon suspect's release from hospital.

DWI- RESISTING ARREST-HIT AND RUN-TERRORISTIC THREAT: 3200 block of North Street. Officers responded to a major accident. The suspect caused an accident and fled the scene. Suspect was located by officers and he resisted arrest. Suspect was taken to memorial for injuries and threatened a paramedic with bodily injury. At time of this report, suspect still at memorial.

ASSAULT: 100 block of East Seale. Suspect assaulted a female during a disturbance. Minor injuries sustained by victim. Clifton Crain was arrested.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 300 block of Ellington. Suspect broke a window out of a vehicle and removed a leopard print briefcase.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 1200 block of Mound. Unknown suspect cut the plastic window out of a vehicle and removed a makeup bag.

POSSESSION OR PROMOTION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY; 1500 block of South Fredonia. Complainant believes that a known suspect hay have downloaded child pornography on a computer. Investigation underway.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 1600 block of Cardinal. Complainant's vehicle was entered and took a purse containing credit cards, cash, and a paycheck.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 1200 block of Mound Street. A black purse containing a check book, ss card, and credit cards was taken form a vehicle.

THEFT: 3900 block of Northwest Stallings. A black gooseneck trailer (TX license CXDY90) was stolen from a worksite.

RECOVERED PROPERTY: Austin At North Pecan. A plumbers snake was recovered from the roadway.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 2100 block of Banita Street. Complainant reported that copper coils were taken out of a/c units.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 2900 block of Northwest Stallings Drive. Complainant's unlocked vehicle was entered and a cd player and battery were taken.

DWI: 900 block of Logansport. A suspect involved in an accident was suspected of being intoxicated. Catherine Mayes was arrested.

THEFT: 1000 block of South Street. Complainant reported that a U-Haul 4x8 trailer enclosed bumper pull trailer was missing. Trailer has Ohio tags TNN 6127.
