Nacogdoches Police Report - 05/21/07

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: 800 block of Ray Street. Complainant reported that a known suspect had cut him with a knife. Complainant has a scratch on his cheek. Case under investigation.

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION: 900 block of Village Gate Circle. A laptop computer, digital camera, and jewelry were taken from a residence. It was believed that the back door was left unlocked to the residence.

FAILURE TO IDENTIFY-FUGITIVE: 2700 block of Old Tyler Road. A suspect was contacted during an investigation. He gave a false name and birthday. When he was identified, a computer check revealed an outstanding warrant from Harris County. Michael Wayne Jones was arrested.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE: 200 block of West Austin. Complainant loaned his vehicle to a known suspect to go to the store. The suspect had not returned with the vehicle. The vehicle was later recovered, and Kenneth Smith was arrested driving it.

THEFT: 4919 Northwest Stallings Drive. The manager found a suspect in her office attempting to place two cartons of cigarettes in his pants. The suspect then fled the store.

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION-UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE. 2400 block of Pearl Street. Unknown suspects forced entry into the apartment and took the keys to a 2006 Chrysler Intreped. The vehicle was also taken.

TAMPERING WITH A GOVERNMENT DOCUMENT: 833 North University Drive (Check Cash). Suspect entered and attempted to cash a payroll check using a counterfeit id card. Andres Alvardo was arrested.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 900 block of MLK. Car stereo and CDs were reported stolen from a parked vehicle.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 200 block of Muller Street. Complainant reported that an unknown suspect had cut a tire on her parked vehicle.

HIT AND RUN: 3400 block of Durst Street. A white dually pickup towing a trailer drove through a yard, damaging a water pipe.

DWLI: 1200 block of Pearl Street. Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver's license was revoked. Shavonia Taylor was arrested.

ASSAULT: 2800 block of Pearl Street. Complainant reported that he was assaulted by a suspect in a parking lot. The assault was the result of a disturbance the previous day. Case under investigation.

RESISTING ARREST: 1100 Cedar Street. Officer stopped to assist a stranded motorist. A check revealed outstanding warrant from the sheriffs department. Officer attempted to arrest the suspect and she resisted. The arrest was made, and April Powers was taken to the law enforcement center.

DWLI: 600 block of Lucas Street. Suspect Was Stopped On Traffic And Found To Have An Outstanding Warrant. His Drivers License Was Also Revoked. Edward Reeves Was Arrested.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE: 700 block of East Main. Unknown Suspects Broke Out A Window On A Pickup And Drove Or Pushed It To Lanana Street. The Suspects Then Took Several Misc. Items From The Truck.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 400 block of Wedgewood. Unknown Suspects Attempted To Pry Open The Door Of A Truck. They Did Pry Open The Tool Box. Nothing Was Taken.

INCIDENT REPORT: 900 block of Cottonwood. A 13 Year Old Boy Accidentally Locked Himself In The Trunk Of His Father's Car. Neighbors Hear Him Calling For Help And Notified The Parents. He Was Unhurt.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 1300 block of Northwest Stallings Drive. Unknown Suspects Broke Into A Vehicle And Took A Nintendo Ps And A Cell Phone. Also A Sony Psp And Games Were Taken. Vehicle Was Locked But Windows Were Partially Down.

THEFT OF A FIREARM: 2900 block of Chateau Lane. A Weather by Vanguard 7mm Magnum Rifle And A Cell Phone Were Taken From A Vehicle Parked In The Driveway.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 500 block of East Parker. Suspects Entered A Vehicle (No Forced Entry) And Removed An Hp Laptop Computer And A Nokia Cell Phone.

THEFT: 2700 block of Old Tyler Road. Subject Was Found In Possession Of A Stolen 30 Pack Of Beer. He Was Arrested And Charged With Theft. Suspect Alan Jones.

EVADING ARREST-OUTSTANDING WARRANT: 300 block of West College. Suspect Was Creating A Disturbance . When Officers Arrived, He Refused To Come Out And Talk To Officers. He Later Came Out And Was Arrested For Evading Arrest And An Outstanding Warrant From Nacogdoches County. David Dillon Was Arrested.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS: 1900 block of Creekview Bend. An Ex Boyfriend Was Found By A Father On The Roof Of The Residence. The Suspect Advised That He Was Invited By The Daughter . A Report Was Taken. No Arrests.
