Nacogdoches Police Report - 05/22/07

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 100 block of South Pecan Street. Complainant's unlocked vehicle was entered and the suspect attempted to steal the radio. The faceplate was missing.

THEFT: 200 block of East Lakewood. A known suspect entered the complainant's bedroom and took 38 compact discs without permission.

THEFT: 1600 block of Chandler Street. A known suspect had complainant's vehicle towed to a scrap yard without permission.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: 700 block of Fulgham Street. A known suspect threatened his wife with a knife. No injuries. Warrant requested.

VIOLATION OF A PROTECTIVE ORDER: 200 block of East Spradley. A known suspect violated the terms of a protective order issued against him. Warrant requested.

UNLAWFUL RESTRAINT-ASSAULT-INTERFERENCE WITH 911 CALL: 1900 block of Queen Street. A known suspect assaulted his girlfriend while she was at work. No serious injury. After work, she went back to the queen street address and the suspect was there. He kept her from leaving, and when she attempted to call the police, he ripped the phone out of the wall. Lester Lewis was arrested.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: 1200 block of North Mound Street. At 11:58 pm  Monday night, a female complainant that had gone to a parked car in the 1200 block of mound street was approached by a suspect who produced a handgun. The suspect demanded that the victim give him a ride. The victim began screaming for help, and a passing NPD patrol heard her along with an employee of memorial hospital who both came to her aid. The suspect is described as a black male, mid 20's, 5'10" tall, wearing a white shirt, jeans, and a dew rag. He was last seen fleeing the scene on foot westerly toward Ferguson street. No one was injured, and anyone with any information should call the Nacogdoches police detective division at 559-2607 or crime stoppers at 560-4636.
