Lufkin Police Report - 06/05/07

TERRORISTIC THREAT:  2500 block of Daniel Mccall.  A man reported that his life was threatened during an argument with an acquaintance around 4am Tuesday.

ASSAULT:  1700 block of PauL.  A woman reported that she was assaulted by the boyfriend of her friend.  The woman stated she was at the couple's home around 1am visiting when the man hit her with his fist.  The victim had visible bruising on her arm.

 THEFT:  2200 block of East Denman Ave.  A store clerk reported theft of some type alcoholic beverage from a convenience store Monday night.  A man concealed some type alcoholic beverage in a bottle in his pocket and left without paying for it.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  300 block of Timberland.  Graffiti was spray painted on a restaurant's windows, walls and fence overnight Sunday.

THEFT:  4600 block of Medford.  A center piece wheel cover was stolen from a vehicle Monday evening. No suspects.

THEFT:  700 block of Southwood Dr.  Internal theft reported by management.  An employee was caught taking cigarettes and various convenience store items without paying and letting others take items with paying for them.     

THEFT:  1100 block of North Ave.  A window unit air conditioner was stolen from a residence Monday afternoon.

BURGLARY:  1300 block of Pershing.  Numerous items were stolen in the burglary of a house being remodeled.  Computer equipment, a refrigerator, a dining set and two jet-skis on a trailer were among the items stolen.  Occurred within the past month.

THEFT:  600 block of Hoskins St.  Complainant reported that a lawn mower and trimmer stolen over the weekend. 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE:  100 block of Karla Dr.  The stereos were stolen out of two vehicles at the same house sometime in the very early morning hours Monday.

HARASSMENT:  2600 block of Woodstock St.  A woman reported receiving numerous unwanted phone calls from someone in Angelina County jail over the weekend.  The woman didn't know who may be trying to call her and refused to accept the collect calls.

THEFT:  800 block of Carrol St.  A woman reported that her earrings were stolen from her bathroom Saturday afternoon during a large family gathering.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE:  1800 block of West Frank St.  A woman reported that a nebulizer (piece of medical equipment) was stolen from her car sometime during the past four days.  

DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE:  300 block of Church.  A man reported that he was hit in the eye by an unknown suspect Sunday afternoon while he was trying to break up a disturbance between two groups of people.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS:  400 block of Joyce Lane.  A small red child's 4-wheeler was found outside a residence around 4:30am Monday.  The homeowner heard some noise outside and saw two kids ride off on a dirt bike and found the 4-wheeler in the street.  The 4-wheeler was taken to the police department as found property.

ASSAULT:  Little Hollow Dr.  A woman reported that her ex-husband shoved her and hit her with his fist around 1am Sunday.  A man who helped get her away from the suspect reported that the same suspect damaged his truck by kicking it and throwing a beer bottle at it before leaving the scene.  

FELONY THEFT:  1200 block of West  Frank.  A Dell computer was stolen from a hospital over the weekend.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  1800 block of Sayers.  Graffiti was spray painted on an apartment building sometime Sunday night.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE:  1400 North John Redditt Drive.  A truck window was broken out and a CB radio stolen sometime over the weekend.

HARASSMENT:  3400 block of Nerren.  A man reported ongoing telephone harassment and repeated calls from his ex-wife.
