Lufkin Police Report - 06/06/07

BURGLARY:  1700 block of Frank.  A stereo and a television screen were stolen in a vehicle burglary late Tuesday night.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: block of 500 North Timberland Dr.  A stereo was stolen in a vehicle burglary Tuesday evening.

FELONY  THEFT:  200 block of South Timberland Dr.  A woman reported that she was walking to her car Tuesday evening when four men drove up in a white Cadillac and took some property from her.  The woman said the suspects never said anything, they just took the bag she was carrying and left. The bag contained a small amount of cash, a bottle of cough syrup and a pack of cigarettes.

ASSAULT:   1600 block of Denman.  A woman reported that she was shoved by a male acquaintance during an argument Tuesday evening.

THEFT:  2400 block of Frank.  A package was delivered to the wrong apartment Tuesday and the contents were stolen.  The box was found but the contents were missing.

THEFT:  1700 block of Lee Lane.  A woman reported that her prescription pain medication had been stolen from her home Tuesday.

FORGERY/COUNTERFEITING:  2500 block of Daniel Mccall.  Complainant reported that several checks were stolen and forged during the past month.

FRAUD:  1100 block of Tom Temple Dr.  A woman reported that someone used her name and identifying information to buy a house in Missouri City, Texas.  The complainant suspects a family member who has been trying to help her get a mortgage did this.

ASSAULT:  4500 block of Medford.  A man reported that a male suspect grabbed the victim's crotch Tuesday afternoon while the victim was shopping.

FRAUD:  1900 block of Hill St.  Complainant reported that an unknown person used complainant's name and social security number to obtain a jewelry store credit card and make charges.  Complainant has never applied for such a card.

DEBIT CARD ABUSE:  2000 block of South Medford Dr.  A woman reported that a known suspect stole her debit card and some personal papers and used the debit card without authorization.

THEFT:   400 block of Packer St.  A man reported that a houseguest stole several items from him over the past month.  A car polisher, a TV, clothing and a ring are missing from the victim's home.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  300 block of West Frank Ave.  A car window was broken out and a tire cut Sunday afternoon while the car was parked at a mechanic's shop.
