Former Meth House Sold

A Lufkin home once used to sell drugs has now been sold. A Palestine couple bought the house at 209 August Lane for $135,000.

Most of that money will go to the City of Lufkin, the Lufkin Police Department, and the Angelina County District Attorney's office. A portion will also go to the children who once lived at the residence.

The home was completely rebuilt inside and out with new flooring, appliances and landscaping.

Lufkin police seized the house in 2005 after an undercover investigation revealed meth was being sold there.
