Mandela Roberts Transferring to SFA - KTRE.com | Lufkin and Nacogdoches, Texas

One year ago the SFA Lumberjacks were in a big recruiting battle for Lufkin standout linebacker Mandela Roberts.   Roberts wanted to test his skills up north and signed with Indiana.   It didn't take long to have a change of heart.   Roberts told me tonight over the phone he is transferring to Stephen F. Austin, after one season with the Hossiers.

Roberts says  "I wanted to be closer to home and help my family."

He also told me that when he officially becomes a Lumberjack, he will likely red shirt his first season.
