Lufkin Police Report - 06/13/07

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  2700 block of North Raguet.  A window was broken out at a business Tuesday night.  It's not known how the window was broken but it did not appear that anyone tried to enter the building.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  1800 block of East Denman Ave.  All four tires on a car were flattened and it was covered with shaving cream early Wednesday morning.  A known suspect had previously threatened to "pay back" the owner of the car.

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION:  800 block Everett.  A DVD player and a stereo were stolen in a residential burglary that occurred Tuesday evening.

BURGLARY:  400 block of Charlton.  A residence was broken into and a window unit air conditioner was stolen Tuesday evening.

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION:  2700 block of Minnie Lou.  A number of household items, including a handgun, were stolen in a residential burglary that occurred sometime during the day Tuesday.

DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE:  1500 block of MLK Blvd.  Two lifeguards reported they were both assaulted by the same suspect Tuesday afternoon.  The lifeguards had repeatedly told the suspect to stop diving into the pool and the young man hit both of the lifeguards with his fist before leaving.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE:  1700 block of West Frank.  The window of a pickup was broken out Tuesday and the stereo was stolen.

THEFT:   1700 block of East Lee.  A Homelite brand chainsaw was stolen from a residence over the weekend.

THEFT:   2100 block of First.  A woman reported that her cell phone was stolen from her purse while she was eating at a restaurant Saturday evening.

THEFT:   900 block of South John Redditt Dr.  Theft of gas was reported to have occurred on Sunday.  A man pumped gas, left his driver's license and never returned to pay for the gas.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE:  500 block of Culverhouse St.   A car stereo and cash were taken in a vehicle burglary that occurred Tuesday afternoon.

FELONY THEFT:  2400 block of South First St.  Embezzlement was reported.  An employee of a restaurant's contract payroll firm is suspected of having written and forged an unauthorized check on the restaurant's payroll fund account.

DEADLY CONDUCT:  3100 block of South John Redditt Drive.   A man reported that his girlfriend intentionally rammed her car into his car as he was driving early Monday morning.  No injuries.

THEFT:  3200 block of Old Union.  A maintenance man reported his drill stolen after he laid it down and walked around to the other side of the building for a short time Tuesday afternoon.

FRAUD:  100 block of Sawgrass Circle.  Complainant learned that someone is using her social security number to get phone service in Dallas.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  600 block of Toby St.  Complainant reported that two of his car tires were cut sometime Monday night.  No suspects.
