Nacogdoches Police Report - 06/14/07

THEFT: 1400 block of Martinsville. Complainant's scrap 1991 ford car was taken and sold as scrap by a known suspect without permission.

HIT AND RUN: 1000 South University. Complainant's vehicle was struck by an unknown maroon full size pickup that fled the scene. No injuries.

HIT AND RUN: 200 block of North Street. Complainant's parked and unattended vehicle was struck by an unknown vehicle which left the scene.

THEFT: 1000 block of North University Drive. A known suspect took $54.50 in gasoline without paying for it.

PROHIBITED WEAPON: 600 block of East Pilar Street. Officers observed a "potato gun" in the back of a pickup. The gun was seized. No arrests.

DWLI: 2300 block of Maybell. Charlene Burleson was contacted on a traffic stop and was arrested after finding that her dl was suspended.

DWLI: 4500 block of South Street. Officer stopped vehicle for a traffic violation. Suspects dl was found to be suspended. Manuel Santoyo was arrested.

EVADING ARREST: 1516 Pearl Street. The owner of the apartment complex call police wanting a person removed from the property. When officers attempted to contact the suspect, he fled out the rear window of the apartment. The suspect reentered the apartment and hid in a closet and was captured.  Jerroid Sells was arrested.

CREDIT CARD ABUSE: 800 block of Ridegview. Unknown suspect used complainant's credit card to withdraw money at an atm.

THEFT: 4600 block of Old Lufkin Road. Complainant reported that an unknown suspect stole a saddle from the rear porch of the residence. The saddle is light brown with Denton Saddle Club engraved on it.

INDECENCY WITH A CHILD: 312 West Main. VICTIM reported that a known suspect had touched her in an improper manner while she was staying with a friend. Investigation underway.
