Police Collect Thousands of Dollars in Unpaid Warrants

The Lufkin Police Department collected more than $10,000 during last week's warrant roundup.

Many people with outstanding Class C warrants turned themselves in, but police arrested 12 East Texans that had a total of 250 unpaid warrants.

Authorities spent all day last Friday going door to door at businesses and residences to round up people with outstanding warrants.

Class C offenses include traffic violations, simple assault, animal control violations and other crimes.
