Grant Dade

Grant has been with KLTV 7 for 4 years now and really enjoys what East Texas has to offer. In addition to predicting the weather you can catch him nearly every Friday morning on Cooking Up a Storm preparing some of his favorite recipes. When the weather is nice you will more than likely find him near a lake performing his second passion in life, fishing.

Grant completed advanced meteorology studies at Mississippi State University and is also a member of The National Weather Association and holds the seal of approval from the American Meteorological Society. Grant was also recently awarded Best Weather Cast 2010 from the Texas Associated Press of Broadcasters.

Born the son of an Air Force pilot, Grant has lived all over the country and experienced many different types of weather.  His first significant weather event was seeing softball size hail in Rapid City, SD when he was five, and has been hooked ever since.

Grant comes to East Texas with his wife, Anita, son Ethan, and daughter Halen.  Grant loves to play golf and bass fish when he is not watching the skies, but his love for weather always keeps him busy.  So even in his off time you will find Grant watching the weather.  He is excited to bring his passion for weather to East Texas to help continue KLTV's tradition of keeping you safe during severe weather, weather is his life, just ask his wife!
