Pharmacy Robbery

The search is out for a Cleveland man who is believed to have robbed a San Augustine pharmacy Thursday morning. He threatened two employees with an ice pick while demanding money and prescription drugs. He then taped them up and fled.

Police got a break in quickly identifying Robert Meloy. The long haired tattooed man left a business card at a convenience store prior to the robbery. From that information they learned he had stolen the white Chevy van with bright blue lettering that he was driving. It belongs to Speedy Plumbing in La Porte. The Texas license plate is 63MRH5. Police chief Jessee Fountain said Meloy told pharmacy employees he wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't for his addiction.
