Motorcyclist Lost Control

by Christa Smith

A man taking a joyride through the Kmart parking lot looses control of his motorcycle.  Lufkin police said his friend just got the motorcycle that morning and told him he could test drive it.  He eventually lost control and jumped a curb.  He was then thrown into the wall of the building.

Authorities said he was severely injured and was transported to Woodland Heights.  His legs and arms had cuts and could possibly be broken.  He also had a large gash in his head that police said could be life threatening.  He was not wearing a helmet.

Lufkin PD also said the man did not have a license and they weren't sure if he knew how to properly drive a motorcycle.  Saturday was also the victims birthday.
