Lake Safety

by Christa Smith

Many people began celebrating 4th of July early by going to the lake.  But with boating and fishing comes safety.

When going in the water you always have to remember to be cautious.  Everyone should always wear life jackets, especially children and weak swimmers.  Children should also be supervised at all times.  Most of all don't push your limits.  If you know you are not a good swimmer stay in the shallow end and never take off your life jacket.

With all the rain expected people should be extra cautious.  If there is lightning do not get in the water.
