Lufkin Police Report - 07/03/07

BURGLARY:  2100 block of Nile St.  A television, a computer and an air conditioner were stolen in a residential burglary that occurred sometime Monday evening.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT:  700 block of Schuller.  A man reported that his sister threatened to kill him and pulled a knife on him during an argument Monday night.  The man was not injured.      

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  1600 block of East Denman Av.  A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend broke out her apartment window when she refused to let him in Monday night.   

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION:  800 block of Ellis.  A jar containing currency and change was stolen in a residential burglary that occurred sometime Monday evening.      

BURGLARY:  2400 block of West Frank.  Several household items and electronics, including a Sony Playstation 2 and some games, were stolen in a residential burglary that occurred sometime Monday afternoon.     

FORGERY/COUNTERFEITING:  800 block of North Timberland Dr.  A woman tried to cash what is believed to be a bogus check while presenting a fake ID card Monday evening.  The woman left before she could be questioned and the check was not cashed.

THEFT:  4600 block of South Medford.  A woman took a salad from Schlotzky's Deli without paying for it Monday afternoon.

FRAUD:  1100 Hoo Hoo.  A woman reported that someone has used her identity to obtain credit within the past year.  The woman learned of the matter when she received a letter from a collection agency about a debt she didn't incur.  

THEFT:  1300 John Redditt.  The rear drive train parts were stolen from a Chevrolet Suburban sometime during the past five or six days.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  200 Dale St.  A man reported that a vacant house that he owns has been broken into and damaged over the past two years.  The man hadn't been in the house is some time and went in recently to find the interior had been vandalized and most of the furniture missing.
