Lufkin Police Report - 07/10/07

DEADLY CONDUCT:  Paul.  A woman reported that an unknown person shot her SUV as she was driving down Paul St. just after 10pm Monday night.  The woman heard a loud noise while driving on Paul near Warren Street and found a bullet hole in the rear hatch panel of her SUV when she arrived home.            

THEFT:  800 block of Pierce.  A man reported that his wallet was stolen from his home sometime Monday night.  The man had some houseguests over and thinks one of them must have taken his wallet.    

ASSAULT: 300 block of Church.  A woman reported that her husband hit her several times with his fists during an argument Monday night.

THEFT:1900 block of Keltys St.  A lawnmower was stolen from a residence late Monday night.

ASSAULT:   1200 block of East Denman.A woman reported that she was choked by her boyfriend Monday night.  When the woman's sister tried to her, the boyfriend slapped the sister.

BURGLARY:2500 block of Daniel Mccall.  A checkbook was reported stolen from a vehicle Sunday evening.

FELONY THEFT:  100 block of Castlewood Ct.  A man reported that his Honda ATV was stolen from his garage during the past two or three days.  The ATV had a climbing deer stand on it that was taken as well.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE:  2900 block of East Denman Av.  A man reported that an unknown suspect had siphoned approximately 10 gallons of diesel from a truck over the weekend. 

THEFT:  100 block of Westmont.  A bicycle was stolen off the porch of a residence Sunday afternoon. 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: 400 block of Holland St.  A repo man reported that his life was threatened and a man pointed a handgun at him while the victim was trying to repossess a car Monday afternoon.  The victim had some scratches on his neck where he was grabbed by someone in a large group that had gathered to object to him repossessing a car.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  400 block of South Bynum.  A man reported that his residence was shot several times with a BB gun sometime Saturday night, putting several holes in the vinyl siding and breaking one window.    

FELONY THEFT:  800 block of Cunningham St.  A digital camera, some tools and a laptop were stolen from an unsecured vehicle parked at a residence sometime over the weekend.
