Nacogdoches Police Report - 07/12/07

ROBBERY: Best Western Inn South Street. Victim was approached by a black male suspect in the laundry room who demanded money. The victim refused and the suspect physically assaulted the victim and took an undetermined amount of cash from him. No serious injuries.

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION: 600 block of Moore Street. While the homeowner was away, unknown suspects took clothing and food from the residence.

IDENTITY THEFT: 3800 block of North Street. Complainant's identity was used to open a sprint account without permission.

FOUND PROPERTY: 1000 Durst Street. A TV/VCR combo was located in some bushed abandoned.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: 3400 block of South Street. Suspect was contacted on a reckless driver complaint. Suspect was found to be in possession of marijuana. Jeremy Christopher was arrested.

SEXUAL ASSAULT: 312 West Main. A parent reported a possible sexual encounter between a 15 year old juvenile male and a 16 year old juvenile female.

HARASSMENT: 1100 block of Shawnee. Complainant reported that a juvenile daughter was receiving threatening messages on a Myspace account.

EVADING ARREST-DWLI; 1600 block of Hanson Circle. Officer attempted to stop a vehicle for traffic. Suspect failed to stop and drove to a residence on Hanson Circle and stopped. Driver was found to have a suspended driver's license. Larry Hope was arrested.

HIT AND RUN: 928 Martin Luther King. Unknown suspect struck complainant's vehicle in the parking lot and did not leave information.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA-TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE: 2000 Pearl Street. Officers stopped a suspect for traffic and located suspected marijuana and powder cocaine in the vehicle. The evidence was on the hood of the car while searching the suspect and he leaned over and swallowed the suspected powder cocaine while being searched. Jerrel Battle was arrested.

ASSAULT-RETALIATION: 1000 West Seale. Suspect assaulted a victim (no serious injury) during a disturbance and threatened others if they called the police. Darvin Garcia was arrested.

AGGRAVATED ROBBERY: 1600 block of Dolph Street. Complainant reported that several young black male suspects, one with a knife, attempted to take her purse from her . They were unsuccessful. Case under investigation.
