Lufkin Police Report - 07/12/07

ROBBERY:  2200 block of South First St.  A motel clerk reported that she was robbed a knifepoint around 1:45am Thursday.  The clerk said an African-American male entered the motel and displayed a knife and demanded the money.  The clerk was not able to get the money and the suspect fled on foot without getting anything.  The suspect is described as being approximately 5'9" tall wearing a yellow shirt and an orange hat.  The clerk was not injured and the suspect was not located.

ASSAULT:  100 block of North First.  A man reported that he was hit in the face by his neighbor in an unprovoked attack Wednesday afternoon.  The man had no visible injuries.

DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE:  700 block of Schuller.  A woman reported that she was cursed out by her neighbor Wednesday afternoon and wanted to file Disorderly Conduct charges.

DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE:  100 block of Hummingbird.  A woman reported that her boyfriend broke a window in her house and damaged the door by kicking it Wednesday afternoon trying to get back in after she locked him out.

THEFT:  500 block of Paul:   A woman reported that her prescription medication was stolen from her home over the Fourth of July holiday when she had dozens of houseguests over.

THEFT:  400 block of Birch.  A man reported that his Husqvarna lawn mower and a pair of hair clippers were stolen from his residence sometime Sunday or Monday.

FRAUD:  1600 block of Sunrise.  A man reported that and unknown person has used his name and identifying information to obtain electric service and a credit card without his authorization.

FRAUD:  100 block of Chambers.  A man reported that his Social Security number was being used by someone in Ft. Worth.  The victim had a name of a man who is using the SS number but said he didn't know the suspect.

THEFT:  100 block of Irving.  A 3-ton jack was stolen from a residence Tuesday or Wednesday.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  2000 block of Howard.  The installed wiring of a house under construction was cut out and stolen sometime Tuesday night.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  1800 West Frank  A woman reported that her van was scratched all the way down the side with some type of sharp object Tuesday evening.
