Nacogdoches Police Report - 07/13/07

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: 600 block of Third Street. Officers stopped a vehicle for traffic violation and detected the odor of burning marijuana. Officers located a quantity of suspected marijuana in the vehicle. Ahmad Williams was arrested.

HIT AND RUN: 300 block of West Spradley. While stopped at a stop sign, complainant's vehicle was struck form behind by a black pickup that left the scene.

DWI: 2800 block of Pearl Street. Officer stopped a vehicle for traffic violation. The driver was suspected of being intoxicated.  Jeremy Ranniger was arrested.

EVADING ARREST: 1400 block of Virginia Avenue. Officer attempted to stop a vehicle for suspicious activity. The vehicle refused to stop and ran several stop signs and finally stopped in the 500 block of West Main. A 14 year old juvenile was driving, who had taken his father's vehicle Without Permission. He Was Transported To Juvenile Detention.

DEADLY CONDUCT: 1300 Rodessa. Officers were dispatched to a shots fired call. Witnesses said that a black male suspect had fired the shots and fled in a vehicle. No damage or injuries reported.

THEFT: 1700 block of Castleberry Street. Unknown suspects took complainant's wallet from a purse.

THEFT: 2100 Looneyville Road.  Complainant reported the theft of a black iron wash pot from a back yard.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT (FIGHTING): 2900 EJ Campbell. Officers responded to a large fight in progress. Officers took seven juveniles into custody that were fighting. All were released to juvenile probation officers.
