Nacogdoches Police Report - 07/16/07

THEFT OF SERVICE: 800 block of North Street. Suspect rented furniture from a business and has failed to pay.

FORGERY: 3200 block of North University Drive. Complainant's information was used on a counterfeit check that was passed at a local business.

ASSAULT: 4600 block of North Street. Officers were dispatched to a fight call. On arrival, officer contacted the victim who had been assaulted (visible minor injury). Complainant wishes to file charges. Warrant requested.

FOUND PROPERTY: 1000 East Main Street. Officers located a lost piece of luggage in the roadway. Held for safekeeping.

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION: 800 block of Oakhill Plaza. Unknown suspect entered complainant's unsecured residence and removed an undetermined amount of cash.

FORGERY: 800 block of North University Drive. A known suspect attempted to cash a stolen check. Warrant has been requested.

THEFT: 600 block of Old Tyler Road. Unknown suspects removed complainant's wallet from his person while dancing. Wallet contained drivers license, SS card and other identifiers.

HIT AND RUN: 1700 block of South Street. Suspect vehicle struck complainant's neon sign and left the scene without giving information.

THEFT: 4800 block of North Street. While loading things into a car, unknown suspects removed complaint's wallet from a shopping cart.

AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A CHILD: 300 block of West Main. Complainant alleges that a 4 year old male was molested by a known suspect. Investigation underway.

ASSAULT: 1300 block of West Main Street. Complainant reported that she was pushed down during an argument by a known suspect. Warrant requested.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: 400 block of Travis Street. A suspect threatened an individual with a gun during a disturbance. The suspect was arrested. Kathy short was charged with aggravated assault.

DWLI: 1700 block of Boney Street. Suspect drove up to the scene of a traffic stop. A computer check revealed that the suspect had a suspended drivers license. Stephen lane was arrested.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 300 block of Ellington. A known suspect kicked in the door of an apartment to remove his property.

ASSAULT: 900 block of Townsend Avenue. Complainant reported that a known suspect had assaulted her by grabbing her hair and swinging her into a bedpost. Warrant requested.

POSSESSION OF A DANGEROUS DRUG: 3200 Nw Stallings Drive. During a traffic stop, officers located approximately two pounds of hydrocodone . Cornelius Cloman and Lajessia Richardson were arrested.

POSSESSION OF A DANGEROUS DRUG-POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: 1600 block of North University Drive. Officers were called by a charter bus driver in reference to possible drug activity on the bus. The suspect, Daniel Terry Knight, was contacted and frisked for weapons. Officers located a quantity of suspected Xanax in his possession along with a quantity of suspected marijuana. He was arrested.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: 2100 block of Woden Road. Officers contacted a vehicle that was parked in the parking area of Woden Road Park. The occupants were found to have outstanding warrants. A search incident of the arrest revealed a quantity of suspected cocaine. Latandra Oquinn was charged with POCS and arrested.

ASSAULT-THEFT: 300 block of West Seale. A juvenile male was riding his bicycle when he was approached by three suspects in a red neon vehicle. They pushed him down off his bike and took his paper. No visible injuries.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS: 700 block of Barker Street. A known suspect entered a residence and created a disturbance. Suspect was warned not to return.

THEFT: 4301 North Street. Unknown suspects cut the security cable and stole a red Hyper 126 cc go cart.
