Nacogdoches Police Report - 07/18/07

THEFT: 4810 North Street-Wal Mart. Kewan Jones was arrested after taking over $150.00 in merchandise from the store without paying.

HARASSMENT: 100 block of South Popp. Complainant reported that a known suspect continues to call on the telephone after being told not to call back. Warrant requested.

THEFT: 400 block of Forbes Street. A suspect mowed the complainant's yard and left with complainant's lawn mower. Complainant wishes to file charges.

HIT AND RUN: 100 block of North Street. A vehicle was struck by an older model blue truck. The truck left the scene without giving information.

AGGRAVATED ROBBERY: 200 block of East Hospital Street. Complainant was approached by a suspect who demanded money at gunpoint. The suspect left the scene without getting any money. Officers located the suspect shortly thereafter in the 600 block of east main. The suspect, Dennis Mann, was arrested. No weapon was found.

THEFT: 1400 block of Hillview. Complainant reported that a Lexair air conditioner unit was stolen from a vacant house.

DWI: 2600 block of North University. Suspect was stopped for speeding. Officers suspected the driver of being intoxicated. William Hyde was arrested.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 900 block of Martin Luther King. Complainant's parked vehicle had the window broken out and a pioneer stereo, two flashlights, and a light tester was stolen.

FORGERY: 4810 North Street- Wal Mart. Complainant advised that a stolen check had been cashed at Wal Mart.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: 900 block of Second Street. Officer contacted the suspect for a pedestrian violation. Suspect was found to be wanted out of Rusk County. Suspect was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Eric Anderson was arrested.

CREDIT CARD ABUSE: 4900 block of South Street. Complainant reported that unknown persons have been using his credit card to make purchases out of state.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 300 block of Hughes. A radar detector and purse were reported stolen form the inside of a vehicle.

FURNISHING ALCOHOL TO A MINOR: 1600 block of Virginia Avenue. Officers stopped a vehicle on traffic. It was found that a person had furnished alcohol to a 17 year old. Juan Garcia-Alaniz (17) was arrested for minor in possession and Najar Ramirez Matias was arrested for furnishing alcohol to a minor.

HIT AND RUN: 600 block of University Drive. Officers were contacted by a witness that observed a minor hit and run accident. The accident involved a red ford pickup and a white Oldsmobile.

CRUELTY TO ANIMALS-DWLI: 1300 block of West Seale Street. Officers were called to the above location where a suspect was seen driving into the driveway and had two pit bulldogs in the trunk of his car. The suspect was also found to have a suspended drivers license. Royce Sessions was arrested.

FORGERY: 4810 North Street. A suspect attempted to cash counterfeit money orders at this location.

HARASSMENT: 4800 block of North Street. Complainant advised that a known suspect had left a harassing note on the windshield of a parked vehicle.
