Nac Football Ready For Next Step

by Ryan Peterson

Thanks to no spring football practice, Nacogdoches gets even more time to prepare for their season opener September 7th.

Year three of the Bill Harper project is underway, as the Dragons opened camp.

Season one resulted in a winning record.  In year two the Dragons earned their first playoff birth in over a decade.  That's no longer good enough.   Coach Harper made it clear to his players.  Camp may just be starting, but if you're just now getting to work... you're late

"The work started on the way back from the Texas High game on the way back from Tyler," Senior Tyler Auxier says.

Senior James Ervin agrees.  "Yeah the work started early. We wanted to go ahead and get our mind set to go all the way this year. We know we're capable of doing it. We're capable of changing more of the past, playing for Nacogdoches and bringing something that they can be proud of."
