Alto Returns to Practice as State Champs - KTRE.com | Lufkin and Nacogdoches, Texas

Every school in the state wants the same feeling they have in Alto.  Returning as state champions.   As the Jackets open training camp, it's a much different looking team than the one who dominated Class A last season.  The champs have to start a new journey, but they won't forget their run to state.

"It was just a real exciting year," Senior Clayton Scott says.  "What we wished for all our lives. It's just something that we'll always remember."

There may be a number changes, but the expectations remain the same in 2007.

"It's not going to be a whole lot different," Senior Lance Low says.  "When you live in Alto there's always a lot of pressure to do good. We plan on going out working hard and doing the best we can."
