Radio Station Acquisition

News Release:

Fast growing Dallas, TX based GAP Broadcasting, LLC, headed by President & Chief Executive Officer, George Laughlin, expands with the acquisition of KVLL-FM Radio in Lufkin-Nacogdoches, TX. The seller is Radio Woodville, Inc., with a sale price of $750,000.00. The transaction was handled by Todd W. Fowler, President of the Brokerage Division, for American Media Services, LLC

Laughlin commented, "GAP Broadcasting is very pleased to acquire this station as it allows us the opportunity to fill-in with our existing cluster in this important market as well as build our portfolio in this region". GAP Broadcasting Vice President and General Manager Johnny Lathrop said, "I am thrilled with the addition of KVLL to our group of stations! We plan to be on the air very soon with a format that is going to blow your socks off!" GAP Broadcasting currently operates KICKS 105, KFOX 95, Q107 and News Talk 860 KSFA and operates 11 markets in Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma and under a Time Brokerage Agreement with Clear Channel Communications, Inc. The transaction is expected to close later this year pending FCC approval.

American Media Services, LLC is a full-scale brokerage, engineering and developmental engineering firm, and its developmental division leads the country in successfully implementing station upgrades by moving them into larger markets, dramatically increasing their value. Since its founding in 1997, AMS has increased the value of 21 stations across the country by $205.1 million, and more than $200 million in proposed rulemakings are currently pending before the FCC. AMS is headquartered in Charleston, SC with regional offices in Chicago, IL, Dallas, TX and Austin, TX.
