Proud of East Texas: Mark Emory

Down a little country road near Pritchett is a blue building that hardly gets a second glance from a passersby.  Yet, inside that building is a company that plays a major role in both world affairs and our everyday life.

Emory Custom Tooling, headed by Mark Emory, has developed and made such diverse products as the first computer mouse wheel for Microsoft, food containers, aerospace components and even the delay fuses for bunker busters used by our military.  Although the company only has four employees, they are highly skilled at using the latest state of the art equipment.  Most people are surprised that such sophisticated products come from a small town in East Texas, but Mark Emory says they moved out of Dallas because they "didn't like the concrete jungle" and are very happy here in East Texas.
