Belt Named MVP & Headed to Texas

by Ryan Peterson

Hudson's Brandon Belt never won a state title and he fell short at the junior college world series.   But Belt finally was crowned a champion on Sunday.   Belt and the Coppell Copperheads won the Texas Collegiate League Championship Series.   Belt was named the series most valuable player going 5 for 11 with 5 rbi's.

Belt did not sign with Atlanta Braves and is headed to Austin.   Belt is excited to be a Texas Longhorn.
