Blue Bell Workers Need Heat in the Summertime

During the summer in East Texas, most of us drink plenty of ice cold water and crank up the AC because of the sweltering heat, but it's this time of year when the guys at the Blue Bell creamery in Lufkin step outside for comfort.

The temperature in their cooler is 18 degrees below zero. The storage center keeps the ice cream, popsicles and chocolate treats frozen solid to keep the quality of the products fresh and ready for distribution.

The workers wear heated gloves and protective gear to protect themselves from the bitter cold temperatures at the Blue Bell plant.
