West Sabine Expecting Big Things

by Ryan Peterson

Just a few weeks before the start of training camp the West Sabine Tigers found themselves without a head football coach.   Gary Vanya left for Kirbyville.   There was not panic in Pineland because the Tigers already had a great replacement in house.

Todd Stark has been an offensive and defensive coordinator the past six seasons at West Sabine.   He now takes over as the head man.   Stark is thrilled with the opportunity and feels really good about the Tigers chances.

"I mean we've got some great receivers," Stark says.  "Got a quarterback (Calub Brown) that can throw the ball and he's like another coach on the field. We call him the general because he leads that offensive attack."

"Oh yeah," Brown says.  "I'm expecting real big things. We went to the third round of the playoffs last year. Expecting to do big things again this year."
