SFA Alumni Director Resigns

SFA Alumni Director Resigns

The East Texas News has learned that another top Stephen F. Austin State University executive has agreed to resign. A source within the SFA Alumni Board confirms that Alumni Director Jim Jeter has resigned. Jeter didn't readily return our calls. The source who requested to remain anonymous said Jeter sent out an e-mail this afternoon saying that he granted the resignation as requested by SFA President Dr. Baker Patillo.

This disappoints the majority of the board. All but two members voted just last week to fully support Jeter's leadership abilities. Alumni board chairman Shirley Crawford said she isn't at liberty to speak about the personell issue as she hasn't received official notification of the resignation. Jeter had been alumni director for three years. Earlier, a financial director and provost resigned.
