It's easy to forget, because he scores so frequently, but Lufkin's Jorvorskie Lane could shatter the Aggies record books by November. In just his junior season, Lane has 35 career rushing touchdowns. He's third on the all time Aggies list.
Darren Lewis has held the record for touchdowns the last 17 years. Lewis has 44 to his name. The last A&M player to flirt with the record was Groveton's Rodney Thomas. Thomas finished with 41.
Lane already owns the single season record, after scoring 19 in 2006. The J Train is just one of his 2006 pace this year. With seven touchdowns through three games, there's a strong chance Lane will tie or break the record this season. It should be fun watching him run over history.
