Freedom Fighters: Jim Wills

For over twenty years, Jim Wills of Tyler served his country in both the Navy and the Air Force. He was involved in four major campaigns in Korea and during the Cold War flew bombers loaded with hydrogen bombs on twenty four hour missions.

Above Will's mantle are many medals awarded him for his bravery. But the highest medal is still in recommendation stage fifty years after the fact.

Wills has been recommended for the "Distinguished Flying Cross" for saving his plane and crew when he repaired the plane's hydraulic line in the air.
