Things looked bad heading into Week Three of the high school football season. Groveton was 1-and-2. But their second loss of the season provided some hope. The Indians gave Corrigan all they could handle.
Since then the Indians have been red hot, winning four straight games.
"I guess we came out of the gate with a big head and thought we were better than we were," Senior Trevon Washington says. "Now we came close as a team a started rolling"
Now the Indians won't make the mistake of letting off the gas. With three games to play, including the season finale in Lovelady, the Indians want a district championship.
"West Sabine was supposed to be future district champs," Junior Herbert Davis says. "But we took over."
