For 29 years R.T. Due protected Angelina County but yesterday he lost his battle with cancer. He served as the constable for precinct one and was very active with all law enforcement in the area. He was also the co-owner of Due's Wrecker Service and was an escort for local funeral homes. Due served in World War 2 for nearly two years. Sheriff Kent Henson and several other law enforcement officers will be pallbearers. Services will be held at Gipson funeral home. Visitation will be held tomorrow from five to seven in the evening. And the funeral service will be held Tuesday at ten in the morning.
