Proud Of East Texas: Dewberry Plantation Ghost

Colonel John Dewberry began construction of his family's dream home in 1852.  He moved into the competed Greek Revival home near Teaselville in 1854, and some say he has never left it.

When Ken and Victoria Poppelwell bought Dewberry Plantation three years ago they began to hear stories of the home's haunting's.  Soon they began to experience them like military footsteps on the stairway, voices in the dining room and locked doors found opened.

There have been so many unexplained happenings at Dewberry Plantation, psychics and parapsychology investigators are frequent visitors.  Lance Brooks is a technical investigator for SWAT, Supernatural Watchers in Tyler.  His specialized equipment has picked up electromagnetic fields, sudden temperature changes, light orbs, sightings and white sound.  All unexplained phenomena that can, and have, many interpretations.
