Lufkin Police Report - 10/30/07

ASSAULT:  400 BLOCK OF LOCKE ST.   A woman reported that her boyfriend hit her in the face Sunday morning.  The woman sought medical treatment for swelling to her face but refused to file charges.

THEFT:  1000 BLOCK OF CLINTON.  Complainant reported that he left his cell phone on a park table Monday evening while playing football and the phone was stolen.

BURGLARY/HABITATION:  900 BLOCK OF CROOKED CREEK.  Complainant reported that three guns were stolen from his home Monday.

FELONY THEFT:  2200 BLOCK OF ATKINSON DR.  Internal theft reported.  Business management reported that an employee is suspected of having done company work on his off time, with company equipment, and collected payment in the company's name without giving the money to the company.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:   4600 BLOCK OF SOUTH MEDFORD.  A doorknob was broken by an unknown person Sunday evening.  It's possible that someone broke the knob in an attempt to break into a closed business.

FORGERY/COUNTERFEITING:  100 BLOCK OF COTTON.  A known suspect passed three counterfeit $20 bills at a Lufkin school for after school care.

THEFT:  2200 BLOCK OF SOUTH FIRST.  A man reported that he was trying on pants at a store and left his pants and his wallet in the fitting room and wore another pair of pants out to continue shopping.  When the man went back to the fitting room 15 minutes later, $600 was missing from his wallet.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS:  400 BLOCK OF SOUTH BYNUM.  Complainant reported that she found a known suspect trespassing in her home Monday morning.
