Ordinarily you wouldn't find two Lufkin police detectives or KTRE's Brad Hlozek and Stuart Burson in high heels, but they walked the walk for a good cause.
Burson said, "The funny thing is that these don't hurt that bad, and I wear a size 13 in women."
Try to walk a mile in their shoes, women who have lost their lives because of domestic violence. It isn't easy.
While the men strutted their stuff and had some fun with it, they know there's a powerful message behind it. And let's just say not all the men made that full mile.
The walk ended with a balloon release in memory of those who have lost their lives.
Contact the Women's Shelter of East Texas if you or you know someone who is the victim of domestic violence.
