Lufkin Police Report - 10/31/07

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 1500 BLOCK OF DENMAN.  A Complainant reported that the paint and rubber seal around her vehicle door had been damaged in an apparently attempt to break into the car at an unknown time.

THEFT:  1600 BLOCK OF ATKINSON.  A known suspect returned several small items to the dollar store for a refund.  It was learned after the refund was given that the man picked the items up in the store and took them to the counter for a refund using an old receipt.

IMPERSONATING PUBLIC: 300 BLOCK OF SHEPHERD.  A known suspect is believed to have impersonated a volunteer fireman.

FELONY THEFT:  400 BLOCK OF TIMBERLAND.  Internal theft of cash was reported from a restaurant.

FORGERY/COUNTERFEITING:  400 BLOCK OF JEFFERSON.  Complainant reported that a known suspect had stolen several of the complainant's checks and forged them.

THEFT:  1200 BLOCK OF OLET.  A complainant reported a blue and silver Mongoose brand bicycle was stolen from her residence Tuesday afternoon.
