Nacogdoches Police Report - 11/14/07

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 2100 BLOCK OF BANITA STREET. Unknown suspects cut four tires on complainant's vehicle.

HIT AND RUN: 100 BLOCK OF WEST MAIN STREET. Unknown suspect struck complainant's parked vehicle and left the scene without giving information.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 100 BLOCK OF WETTERMARK. Unknown persons entered complainant's vehicle without permission.

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION: 700 BLOCK OF SWEETGUM. Unknown suspects forced entry to a residence, setting the alarm off. The suspects fled, and it is unknown if anything was taken.

FORGERY: 800 BLOCK OF NORTH UNIVERSITY.  A known suspect presented a check for $100.00 that was forged. The suspect fled when the complainant inquired about the check.

CREDIT CARD ABUSE: 1600 BLOCK OF CARDINAL. Complainant's credit card was used without permission to buy products in California.

THEFT OF SERVICE: 500 BLOCK OF EAST MAIN STREET. A known person rented property from the complainant and failed to return it. A warrant has been requested.

CREDIT CARD ABUSE: 300 BLOCK OF WEST MAIN. Unknown suspects used complainant's credit card to make a purchase in Mexico.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 2100 BLOCK OF RAGUET. Complainant's unlocked vehicle was entered and an iPod was taken.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 1900 BLOCK OF WODEN ROAD. Complainant reported a door kicked in but entry to the building was not achieved.

THEFT: 4800 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. Suspect was observed taking merchandise over the amount of $75.00. Clera Richards was arrested.

THEFT-FAILED TO ID-PAROLE WARRANTS: 1000 NORTH UNIVERSITY DRIVE. Suspect gave the clerk some rolled dimes. The clerk then found the rolls to contain pennies. The suspect was located and fled on foot, officers chased and captured him. The suspect gave a false name. After proper identification, the suspect was found to be wanted for parole violation. Joe Whitaker was arrested.

DEADLY CONDUCT-UNLAWFUL CARRYING OF A WEAPON- TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE: 2600 BLOCK OF NORTH PECAN. A suspect involved in a large disturbance reportedly pointed a handgun at another person. The pistol was found in a storm gutter and was retrieved. Jack Sterns was arrested for unlawful carrying of a weapon and deadly conduct and tampering with evidence.

THEFT: 5100 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. Complainant left a purse in a restroom. Upon returning, the purse was gone.

THEFT: 3300 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. Complainant left a wallet on a table. Upon returning, the wallet was missing.
