Two Lufkin Men Charged With Stealing At Least Six Cars

by Jessica Cervantez

Two Lufkin men have been arrested for stealing six cars. But as the investigation continues, there could be more even more.

Authorities arrested 30-year-old Jarvis Houston and 34-year-old Hayward Calvin, Jr. both of Lufkin.

Three cars were discovered stolen from a small car dealership in Hudson, and authorities say three other cars were stolen from residences in Lufkin. All of the cars were found at Lonestar Salvage in Lufkin. One of them had already been crushed.

The Angelina County sheriff's department, Hudson police, and Lufkin police are all working on the case. They believe the men were taking the cars to Lonestar to get money for the metal.

That is were police arrested them. The two are charged with felony theft of motor vehicles and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

However, more charges are pending.
