The winning streak just keeps growing in Alto. The Yellowjackets have 26 straight victories. For the first time in two years that streak was in danger Saturday night. Alto needed a goal line stand on to hold off Groveton. It's the first real test for the Yellowjackets in the last 730 plus days. A team that's grown accostumed to pulling away in the second half of games, proved to their coach they can win the close ones.
"It really did," Alto Head Coach Keith Gardner says. "It's been a while since we've had a tough ball game. The kids kept their frame of mind and were very resilient. It was good to go out and win a close ball game like that."
