Lufkin Police Report - 11/28/07

ASSAULT: 200 BLOCK OF BLUEBIRD. Complainant reported that she was assaulted by her boyfriend Tuesday night during an argument.  The victim said the suspect grabbed her by the throat and shoved her down, causing a minor abrasion to her knee.

THEFT/B: 3900 BLOCK OF SOUTH MEDFORD. Complainant reported that he forgot his jacket in a restaurant Tuesday evening and when her remembered and returned for it an hour later the jacket, and the cash in the pocket, was missing.

THEFT: 2900 BLOCK OF SOUTH BRENTWOOD DRIVE. Internal theft was reported.  An employee is suspected of stealing merchandise and returning some of the items for a store gift card.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 200 BLOCK OF WILLOW BAY. Complainant reported that her garage door had been dented by an unknown method or object sometime within the past several days.

THEFT/B: 1000 BLOCK OF TOM TEMPLE. Complainant reported that her wallet and cell phone were stolen from her purse, possibly when she had several guests over Saturday night.

THEFT/C: 1600 BLOCK OF ATKINSON. A store clerk reported seeing a woman conceal two food items in her coat Tuesday and try to leave the store with the items.  When confronted, the suspect left the items and fled on foot.

THEFT/B: 2200 BLOCK OF EAST DENMAN AVENUE. Complainant reported that some cash was missing from the store safe and internal theft is suspected.

FRAUD: 300 BLOCK OF SHEPHERD STREET. A Louisiana woman reported that an unknown person had obtained a credit card in her name and used it in Lufkin.

DEBIT CARD ABUSE: 400 BLOCK OF SOUTH FIRST STREET. Complainant reported that he accidentally left his debit card in an ATM Monday evening and an unknown person used it to withdraw $600 from his account.

THEFT: 3000 BLOCK OF SOUTH JOHN REDDITT DRIVE. Complainant reported that a check cashing business kept her check and wouldn't give her the cash because they said she owed them money from a previous bad check they cashed for her.

HARASSMENT: 500 BLOCK OF SOUTH BYNUM. Complainant reported an ongoing problem with an ex-boyfriend calling numerous times per day and harassing her.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE: 900 BLOCK OF SHADY PINE. Complainant reported that her Maroon GMC SUV was stolen from her driveway sometime Monday night.  The complainant had left the keys in the vehicle.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE: 800 BLOCK OF TIMBERLAND. Complainant reported that his gray Chevrolet SUV was stolen just after midnight Wednesday.  The man left the vehicle running and unlocked as he was getting some water from a machine at a store.  An African-American male got in the vehicle and drove off in it when the owner had his back turned.
