Inmate Who is Charged With Capital Murder is Involved in Jail Altercation

A Nacogdoches County inmate who is charged with capital murder in an Etoile case back in August was involved in an altercation at the jail.

Nacogdoches County Sheriff Thomas Kerss said 26-year-old Charles Cameron Frazier got into an altercation with another inmate Saturday evening.

Kerss said the jailers were trying to restrain him but Frazier was uncooperative. He did receive minor injuries when he fell when the jailers had to take him down. No taser was deployed. He did require medical attention.

Kerss says they will have an internal review to make sure the jailers followed the proper procedure.

He is charged with the deaths of David Mitchamore, Jr. and Rochelle Brown.
