Lufkin Police Report - 12/19/07

BURGLARY/HABITATION: 1500 BLOCK OF LUFKIN AVENUE. Complainant reported that he came home early Wednesday morning to find three men running from his house.  The complainant recognized the men and went inside to find his TV had been moved, his wife's purse rummaged through and a frozen turkey missing.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: 3500 BLOCK OF NORTH JOHN REDDITT. Complainant reported that a known suspect cursed her and threw eggs at her car Tuesday.

ASSAULT/A: 300 SHEPHERD. Complainant reported that his 6th grade son was assaulted on the school bus by an unknown high school student.  The sixth-grader reported that he was shoved by his neck, causing him to hit his head on the window causing pain.  He had no visible injuries.

FORGERY/COUNTERFEITING: 1800 FORD CHAPEL. Complainant reported that the VFW Hall received four counterfeit $20 bills during bingo night Tuesday.

INJURY TO ELDERY: 1000 BLOCK OF ABBY STREET. Complainant reported that her adult son lives in a group home for the mentally retarded and has two unexplained bruises on his body.  Complainant stated her son is severely handicapped and she's not sure if they are causing the bruises or not watching him closely enough and allowing him to harm himself.

BURGLARY/HABITATION: 200 CHURCH STREET. Complainant reported that her tool shed was broken into within the past two weeks and a red Honda generator and two 14' ladders were stolen.

BURGLARY/VEHICLE: 2400 BLOCK OF SOUTH FIRST. Complainant reported that his truck was broken into while he was eating lunch at a restaurant Tuesday and several Christmas gifts and a bag containing work papers and prescription medications was stolen.

FORGERY/COUNTERFEITING: 300 JOPLIN STREET. Complainant reported that several of his checks were stolen and forged.

THEFT/B: 1100 BLOCK OF NORTH AVENUE. Complainant reported that a tenant moved out and took two window air conditioning units that belong to the landlord.

BURGLARY/BUILDING: 2900 ATKINSON DRIVE. Complainant reported that his business was broken into sometime Monday night and an air compressor was stolen.

THEFT: 1500 BLOCK OF SPANISH MOSS. Complainant reported that her purse was stolen from her car while the car was in her garage Monday night.

THEFT: 700 BLOCK OF RAGUET. Complainant reported that a man stole two 24 oz. cans of beer by concealing them under his jacket and walking out of the store Monday night.
