Three decades of coaching angelina college was enough for Guy Davis.

"I thought it was going to be easy," Davis commented.

In March, the 62 yeard old called it quits, Davis did not go out with a winning season, but his contributions to Angelina College are endless

471 career wins, 16 winning seasons, and one trip to the National Junior College Championships

"The wins and losses, I had no clue, I never cared about that, it was about the kids."

"It was never about just basketball that we learned, it was about life, about how to be a better person, a better husband a better grandfather," added former player Travis Elizalde.

You can still catch the coach at Shands Gym, but it will never be the same.
