It was a game decades in the making...SFA watched a 7-3 lead disappear against rival Sam Houston State.
But in only its second year back, SFA baseball accomplished their dreams.
Thanks to a two-run home run from Kevin Croft, the Lumberjacks reached the postseason for the first time in school history, steadily improving from start to finish.
"It is exciting, especially after how terrible we did last year, we have just been improving, it seems like every series we have improved on some aspect of the game," said Croft.
The 'Jacks also finished with a 30-26 record...the first 30 win season since SFA became a Division one member in 1987.
Although the 'Jacks fell in the semifinals to Texas State, the Lumberjacks most successfull season in school history, and historic run to the post-season, is worthy of number 6 on our top moments in East Texas for 2007.
