A new brief has been filed in the case of Rriya Ramnath. The Lufkin doctor charged with involuntary manslaughter in the United Kingdom.
According to court documents, Al Charanza, Ramnath's attorney, filed a brief which explains why the defense believes Ramnath deserves special circumstances in her extradition hearing.
The main argument is based on statements filed by the UK. Those statements suggest the patient, Patricia Leighton, was clinically dead 21 hours before arriving at the British hospital where she was treated by Ramnath.
