Nelda B Bonner
On December 29, 2007, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and sister, stepped into the gates of Heaven into eternal paradise and was met by God and her mother, father, sister and two brothers.
Nelda was born December 19, 1924, to Bill Turner and Nettie Read in Lexington, Texas. She married George Hardie Bonner on April 13, 1942. They shared 65 years together. We were blessed by her love and concern for each of us. We are very sad to be without her, yet we are grateful that God has taken her into His hands. Our faith assures us that she is now present with the Lord and her loved ones preceding her in death: mother, Nettie Read; father, Bill Turner; sister, Olear Kelly; and brothers, J.D. Turner and Robert Turner.
Nelda was a member of the Holy Trinity Methodist Church in Houston, Texas. She loved taking care of her family, and she enjoyed crocheting and cooking.
She is survived by her husband, George H. Bonner; her two children, Rita Rhodes and husband, Ron, and Gordon Bonner and his wife, Debbie; grandchildren, Floyd Mead and his wife, Jackie, Scott Mead, Angela Harrell and her husband, Tony, Amy Baron and her husband, Chad, and Kristi Moor; great grandchildren, Amanda Perales and husband, Jonathan, Nicholas Mead, Amanda Bourgieos, Nicole Bourgieos, CJ Bourgieos, Patrick Bourgieos, Emma Baron, Mason Harrell and Abbie Harrell; and great-great grandchild, Haley Perales. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Brown and husband, Bertie Ray; brother, Howard Turner; brother-in-law, R.L. Kelly; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Brown, Floyd Mead, Scotty Mead, Jimmy Bonner, Jessie Bonner and Earl Kelly. Honorary pallbearer will be Jonathan Perales.
Services for Mrs. Bonner will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, December 31, 2007, in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bud Bonner officiating. Interment will follow in the Largent Cemetery.
Friends are invited to visit with the family before the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m., Monday, at Gipson Funeral Home.
