Funeral services for Arlene M. Drake, 78, of Lufkin will be held Friday, January 4, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. in the Calvary Chapel Full Gospel Church with Pastor Dwyan Calvert and Pastor Al Ross officiating. Interment will follow in the East Prairie/Possum Walk Cemetery in Trinity County.
Mrs. Drake was born December 8, 1929 in Burke, Texas, to Pearl (Butler) and Alex Maddoux, and died Sunday, December 30, 2007 at her residence.
Mrs. Drake had resided in Angelina County for 26 years and was a Master Tax Consultant with H&R Block for 40 years. Mrs. Drake was a member of the Calvary Chapel Full Gospel Church. She loved her family, friends and co-workers, but most of all and always first - she loved Jesus.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all those who made her final days on this earth so joyful and peaceful.
Survivors include her son, David Drake of Lufkin; daughters, Brenda Drake of Lufkin and Susie Shepherd of Arizona; daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Mike Umholtz of Humble; grandchildren, Dawn, Will, Dustin, Molly, Michael, Carrie, Matthew, Jesse, Amanda, Michael, Amber and Cody Michael; great-grandchildren, Corey, Miranda, Mikayla, Hayden, Maddox, Mikey, Meghan and Alex; brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Faye Maddoux of Lufkin; sister, Cina Clark of Nacogdoches; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mack Drake; son, Michael Otis Drake; brother, Robert Maddoux; brother-in-law, Kenneth Clark; and nephews, Roy Maddoux and John Maddoux.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Goodwin, David Drake, Michael Umholtz II, Matthew Umholtz, Dustin Shepherd, Will Kepler and Nathaniel Stanaland.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Michael Drake, Kevin Negrete, Willie Fowler and Adam Rains.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
