Nacogdoches Police Report - 1/4/08

FORGERY: 2600 BLOCK OF SOUTH STREET. A suspect attempted to pass a forged check that was stolen from Wells, Texas. When police were called, the suspect fled.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 1600 BLOCK OF DOUGLASS ROAD. An unsecured vehicle was entered and a stereo system was removed.

THEFT: 400 BLOCK OF NORTH WEST STALLINGS DRIVE. Complainant reported some metal and copper items stolen from some equipment that was parked.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 3000 BLOCK OF NORTH PECAN. Complainant heard a car window break and looked outside and observed a known suspect remove a purse from a vehicle. Warrant requested.

ASSAULT: 4700 BLOCK OF NORTH UNIVERSITY DRIVE. A juvenile suspect fought his mother during an argument. Suspect referred to juvenile probation.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE: 3200 CECIL JONES ROAD. Complainant reported that a 1999 black dodge was stolen overnight.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 3000 BLOCK OF NORTH PECAN. Unknown suspects broke a window out of an apartment. Complainant advised that nothing was missing.

THEFT-POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: 600 BLOCK OF UNIVERSITY DRIVE. Complainant reported that a party of individuals ate at a business and left without paying. The group was contacted and found that one person in the party had stolen the money left on the table to pay the bill. The suspect was arrested for theft and search incident to arrest revealed that she was in possession of suspected hydrocodone. Mary Kennemer was arrested.

THEFT: 4800 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. Complainant left his wallet at a self-checkout stand. When he returned, the wallet was missing.

RECOVERED PROPERTY: 3200 BLOCK OF SOUTH STREET. Officers were alerted by the Lufkin Police Department of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was located in the 3200 block of South Street and the driver, Andre Griffin was arrested.
