Anyone traveling on highway 7 between 12:30 and 6 in Shelby County yesterday had long delays. The sheriff's office reported that an 18-wheeler carrying liquid nitrogen was traveling west on 7 and about to turn onto county road 1184. It is believed the driver was going too fast causing the truck to flip over. The tank cracked causing 5000 gallons of liquid nitrogen to spill onto highway 7. Hazmat crews were called to the scene but all lanes of highway 7 were blocked for close to an hour and half. One lane opened after that but it was another 4 hours before all lanes were cleared. No one was injured in the accident.
